The story started out a bit slow for me, but eventually the simple details all make sense. I liked the writing style, and I'm keen on reading Sager's other books. The book enters into a creepy plot twist that reveals one of your worst nightmares.
I did like the heroine in this book. She's hopeless and hopeful at the same time, if that makes any sense. I also enjoyed the ending and appreciate it that Sager did not forget to save Rufus from all the monstrosity hahaha.
