Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and it's all small stuff by Richard Carlson
Don't Sweat the Small Stuff ... and it's all small stuff: Simple Ways to Keep the Little Things from Taking Over Your Life by Richard Carlson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a helpful book if you're feeling overly stressed and pressured in life. The book gives specific advice on what to do with your thoughts to help you form a habit of serenity.
It is easy to misunderstand the author's message because much of it seems quite passive.
The takeaway:
Small acts of kindness go a long way. Small steps toward your goal, is still going toward your goal. Choose your battles. Choose the responsibilities to accept. Stop blaming others or yourself if things are not the way you wanted it to be. Don't let small defeats, negative thoughts or criticism set you back or shake your inner peace. Focus on what's important to you.
